The Yale Club of Hartford together with the Yale Club of New Haven welcome you to help celebrate Yale’s 325th Anniversary, 325 years to the day the Connecticut General Assembly granted a charter for the “Collegiate School” on October 9th, 1701. In tribute to Yale’s first official home, this ceremony will be held at the first official site of Yale College at Saybrook Point in Old Saybrook (82 College Street, Old Saybrook ‒ marked by the Bicentennial “Yale Boulder”).
The ceremony on October 9th will begin at 5:30 PM.
All are welcome to join the ceremony ‒ Yale alumni, faculty, students, staff, and friends, as well as residents of Old Saybrook and the surrounding community! There will also be a reception in the Fenwick Room at nearby Saybrook Point Resort & Marina (2 Bridge Street, Old Saybrook) following the ceremony for members of the Yale Club of Hartford, the Yale Club of New Haven, and their invited guests. The reception is expected to begin around 6:15 PM.
Speakers for the ceremony will be announced shortly and will be shared on the Yale Club of New Haven website to the extent possible.
To help us plan for this event, please RSVP if you intend to join either the ceremony or the reception.
